Ophthalmologists from 28 States Gathered in Bar Harbor, Maine for the 23rd Annual Downeast Ophthalmology Symposium
The Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (MSEPS) held their 23rd Annual Downeast Ophthalmology Symposium, September 27-29 at the Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. Course Director, Samuel P. Solish, MD, and the Planning Committee pulled together a great program featuring outstanding speakers in the areas of Glaucoma, Cataract, and Retina which offered 15 Category 1 AMA PRA Credits. The Keynote Speaker was Jane C. Edmond, MD, President of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. This year there were 130 attendees (plus their guests), 19 companies exhibiting, and 28 states represented at the Symposium.
In addition to the educational program, attendees enjoyed additional activities including a Harbor Cruise, Lobster Bake, and some free time to explore Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. The Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons encourages ophthalmologists from across the country to join us next year, September 19-21 at the Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina in Bar Harbor, ME for the 24th Annual Downeast Ophthalmology Symposium. As materials become available, they will be posted on the MSEPS website.
