1. SESI Annual Conference 2025 Announced

The SESI Annual Conference (SESICon 2025) will be held in Hyderabad from March 21-23, 2025.

This year's theme - "Advancing Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery" - will feature live surgeries, keynote lectures, and interactive case discussions.

Abstract submissions open till December 15, 2025.




2. SESI Fellowship 2026 Applications Open

Applications are now invited for the SESI Clinical and Research Fellowships 2026, offering young orthopedic surgeons the opportunity to train at leading centers in India.

Last Date to Apply: January 31, 2026




3. New Issue of the SESI Journal Released

The October 2025 issue of the Journal of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India is now available online.

Highlights include :

  • Comparative outcomes of arthroscopic vs. open rotator cuff repair
  • Case series on distal humerus fracture fixation
  • Consensus update on rehabilitation protocols



4. SESI - ASES Collaborative Webinar Series

SESI and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) recently concluded a successful 3-part international webinar series. Topics covered included complex instability, arthroplasty in younger patients, and revisions in elbow surgery.

5. IOA Recognition for SESI

The Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) has officially recognized SESI as the Subspecialty Section for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, reinforcing its national leadership role in this domain.

This collaboration will promote more integrated CME and academic activities across India.
